Tumbleweed Music Festival
Tumbleweed music festival features performers from their teens to their eighties, playing music that ranges from folk-rock to old-time. Five performance stages run concurrently all weekend! There’s also an open mic stage, free workshops on a variety of instruments, dance forms and special topics of interest, such as songwriting and promotion. Vendors offer a variety of crafts and food. Daytime events from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. are free to the public. The ticketed concert begins at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night; the cost is $8 for adults and $5 for teens and seniors (ages 12 and under are free). Tumbleweed is sponsored by 3 Rivers Folklife Society and the City of Richland.

He has performed in every facet of musical entertainment from recordings and concerts to television roles, nightclubs and telethons. His spectacular artistry ranges from classical to ragtime to rock and roll, jazz and of course Broadway show tunes. Steve teaches piano and resides in Kennewick with his lovely wife Deborah. There may be those special people in the audience who wonder why he looks so familiar…you, of course, recognize him as “Stevie, the piano man” from THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.Mary Lou GnozaVocal stylist Mary Lou is well known to audiences in the Pacific Northwest for her dazzling repertoire of show-stopping Broadway songs, jazz standards, slow and dreamy ballads and blues. There is never a dull moment when the music starts and audiences are mesmerized by the extraordinary stylings of her rich, full voice. She has resided in Richland for several years and designs and creates costumes for Richland Light Opera Company and other local theatre groups when she isn’t singing.

Cold Creek combines three of the Tri-Cities most unique and entertaining musicians. Mike Skalstad is an independent singer/songwriter who has composed two original CD’s. He is an accomplished vocalist as well as a guitarist and harmonica player. Joe Winters has created three individual CD’s and is one of the areas most highly regarded musicians excelling in all areas of guitar picking styles. Mo Cowgill has been one of the areas finest lead guitar players for decades and has played with many local bands. Together as Cold Creek they create an extraordinarily fresh and unusually entertaining ensemble. Creativity on the Acoustic Guitar
National award-winning Christian artist David Harsh will be performing his original, innovative, Message-driven music in 2 special concerts at the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The Washington state native plays a unique mix of acoustic Christian folk, rock, and pop that is sure to appeal to all ages and music fans. In addition, David’s creativity on the acoustic guitar comes through every song. Tagaris Vinyard Trip to Wahluke Slope
Tagaris to conduct 2010 Vineyard Trip to Wahluke Slope Dueto popular consumer demand, The First Annual Vineyard Trip to the Tagaris Estate Vineyards in the Wahluke Slope AVA has been scheduled for Saturday, September11. The Wahluke Slope AVA is a13-mile-wide gravel bar created by the ice age floods that ravaged Eastern Washington some 15,000 years ago. It's bordered to the north by the Saddle Mountains and on the other tree sides by the Columbia River. One of the state's warmest grape growing regions, top winemakers consider the Wahluke Slope as the backbone of the Washington Wine Industry. Two of Tagaris' vineyards, its 174 acre organicMichael Vineyard and its smaller Alice Vineyard both lie within the Wahluke; its Arete Vineyard looks just to the east in the Columbia Valley AVA The trip will leave from Tagaris at 9:00am heading off to the vineyards via motorcoach with Starbucks and Danish inhand. First stop will be Tagaris' newest vineyard, 2-year-old, organic Michael Vineyard. Plantings consist of Carménerè, Cab Franc, Muscat Canelli,Cinsault, Barbara, Sangiovese,Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Winemaker Frank Roth and his staff willpour barrel samples of each grape variety in each varietal block, and grapescan be tasted from the vine to explore the connection from vine to wine. The group will then move on to King Fuji Ranch, home to one of America's largest Fuji apple plantings with more than 1.5million trees. King Fuji is also home to 6-year-old Alice Vineyard, where Mourvèdre, Counoise, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, andMalbec are grown. Smaller groups will split up to tour the orchards andthe vineyards, with barrel samples and grape and apple-picking along the way. The final stop will be at the 26-year-old, old-vine Areté Vineyard. Here, tour guests will walk amongst organic plantings of Sémillon, Gewürztraminer, White Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc and willenjoy a traditional Mexican fiesta and wine pairings served at Tagaris' private park in the heart of the vineyard. The park has spectacular 360-degreeviews of the Saddle Mountains, Mount Adams, and Mount Rainier. In all, the tour will include 322 acres of vineyard delight, and over 1000acres of appleliciousness!!
